Whee!

What an eventful week. And what an eventful weekend to come! =DDDD

Neeways, last Sat I braved the terrible Lancashire weather with Tze Khee on a day trip to Blackburn! Hahahas. It's a small little town with nothing much, but luckily we went on one of the days the market was open! Had a fun time there walking around and buying random stuff to eat. XD It's was nice cause it was just the two of us likeminded people walking aimlessly.

Oh, unlike London and Lancaster, there are little to even no Chinese in Blackburn. So it was pretty funny when two young girls walked passed us saying in loud high pitched voices "LOOOOK CHINESEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!" Hahahaas. That was amusing.

And....Uncle Bing may have already seen the photos, but I'm gonna post some up anyway. We braved the cold, rain and wind for 40mins just to get to the stadium!

And tonight was lovely! Got together with Tze Khee, Huey Wen and went to Jo's studio room to cook! Lovely! We cooked curry chicken, tom yum soup, chicken with spare ribs sauce and assorted fried vegetables! Lovely! For dessert we had Halloween cupcakes! Such fun! It really is more fun cooking with friend then eating by yourself in the room. Also the heater in Jo's room works overtime and it is simply excellent to be in her room now that the temperature has dropped to the low single digits!

On happier news, I recieved a parcel from the Mum filled to the brim with miso soup packs and instant herbal tea. And a packet of Japanese curry. <3

Yesterday we went on a trip to Chester! No. Not Manchester. Just Chester. Which for some reasons I am too lazy to find out is where the largest factory outlets are. This is excellent!

What is not so excellent is the brands are REALLY TOP END so even after a 70% discount, a teeshirt is gonna cost you about 40GBP. I don't need teeshirts thaaaaat badly. =D

BUT BUT BUT. Who needs shopping when you can get pretty pictures like these: =DDD

Finally met the Singapore Society in LU. Apparently they just dissovled it due to lack of Singaporeans in LU. HAHAHAS But there are still informal meetings to speak Singlish! Yayness! Comforting to speak in Singlish.

There be plans to go to Chester this weekend factory outlet shopping!!!!!! Happiness!!!!!!

In other news, the workload here is pretty heavy. I foresee INTENSIVE reading ahead of me. The library beckons.

WHY HELLO THERE PEOPLE.

Tadaaa! A proper entry! A full week in Lancaster! I can't believe I finally have somewhere to go home to. To go back to, to relax and have my own privacy!

I have been terribly busy settling down in Lancaster! There are many many things to do. Important things like modules and finding where my classes will be held. Doing grocery shopping, buying REALLY REALLY EXPENSIVE toilet paper. D=

Also less important, but infinitely more fun things like exploring my uni, walking around town, shopping! Making new friends and going for lame college events. And DRINKING.

This is why I have this humongous back log of photos in my hard drive which I have to get around uploading. And I will! It's just that having a clear day in Lancaster is so rare that when there is one, you do not want to be in your room in front off your computer! You'll want to catch the sun for as long as possible. And even if there's no sun, you'll want to hit town in the rain and wind, because there are shops to see and quaint little houses to discover!

I cooked rice for dinner today. *feels warm and fuzzy* It's been too long since I had rice! =D
